• tom ford's provocative new ad campaign

style provocateur tom ford has always been known for his unique artistic sensibilities. while, his 2007 perfume
campaign shocked fashion followers with its over the top sexuality, the new spring/summer 2008 campaign goes
even further. shot by photographer terry richardson, the new campaign features male and female models
partaking in nude massages, ironing and sunbathing. beyond mere nudity, some of the photos even feature
couples in the act of sex itself, as fellow models look on. the campaign is sure to raise some eyebrows and
leaves you wonder how ford could possible top it.

  • esquire recently asked some of the world's most influential fashion designers to recreate some of the magazine's
most iconic covers. the project was initiated to celebrate the magazine's 75 anniversary. all of the works, with the
exception of one, are based of covers conceived by esquire's long time art director george lois. in his career with
the magazine, he helped create 92 covers. a show featuring highlights from his career is currently on show at
new york's museum of modern art.

the new photographs depicting the designers was unveiled yesterday in milan.

    'bettylou' LED light and shade

'bettylou' is a new lamp design presented by mmckenna, the design studio of mark mckenna, at this year's ICFF.
the small lamp uses a 1 watt LED and fits over a wine glass to provide light for over seven hours. the light and
glass shade fits onto a standard wine glass and a small reflective piece sits in the glass's bowl to amplify the light.

mmckenna also displayed their 'designer emulation kits - dek' lighting series. the small lights run off of 9-volt
batteries and are styled after famous lighting designs. the lights come flat packed and can be assembled together.
